Artist Feature: Haley Alcott & The Story of AOTR_Murals
When you see a floral mural that feels like it’s breathing life back into a weathered city wall, there’s a good chance it belongs to Haley Alcott.

As the force behind Artists On The Run (AOTR), Haley has spent years bridging the gap between fine art precision and the raw, fast-paced world of graffiti. Based in Toronto, she’s become a go-to name for massive brand activations and community-driven art. From her sprawling 80-foot exterior for Turkey Shoot Brewing Co. to her meaningful "Forever and Always" Bell Box project in Etobicoke, Haley’s work is unmistakable.

More Than Just Paint
What makes Haley’s style stand out is her ability to blend delicate, organic forms—like her signature forget-me-nots and cardinals—with industrial backdrops. Her work often carries deep personal narratives, like her tribute pieces dedicated to her father, proving that street art can be as much about soul and memory as it is about aesthetics.
Her portfolio is a diverse map of "brand storytelling," having collaborated with everyone from local high schools to popular spots like The Little Griddle and COOPS Smokin’ Wings.
The Miniature Series: "Original Amor"
We’ve been following Haley’s large-scale projects for a long time, so we were hyped to collaborate on something more intimate. We wanted to see how that massive mural energy would translate to a smaller, tangible canvas.
The result? The Original Amor Shipping Container.

In this series, Haley brings her "Forever and Always" sentiment to our custom replica containers. Each one is hand-painted, treated with the same textures she uses on the street, and finished with the fine-art floral details that have made AOTR a staple in the Ontario art scene.
A Peek into the Process
Creating at this scale requires a different kind of focus. Haley shared some behind-the-scenes footage and photos from her studio, showing the transition from realistic weathering and spray paint to the fine-tuned strokes needed for these collectibles.

Why This Partnership Matters
At These Are Not Toys, we believe graffiti culture belongs everywhere—from the side of a brewery to the shelf in your office. Partnering with an artist like Haley allows us to offer you more than just a product; it’s a piece of a muralist's journey.
Whether she’s mentoring youth in Cambridge or beautifying an alleyway in Toronto, Haley is constantly pushing the culture forward. We’re proud to have her original work as part of our projects.
